I’m very happy to announce that I’m joining the editorial staff at Tiny Donkey! I’ve been a fan of the journal from its start, and love the writing of founding editor Wren Awry.
“Tiny Donkey is a journal of short-form, fairy-tale nonfiction focused on, but not limited to, undergraduate writing. Tiny Donkey essays draw on stories, scholarship, pop culture, and lived experience to deliver thoughtful commentary on fairy, folk and wonder tales in the 21st century.
Tiny Donkey was founded in 2015 as an off-shoot project of Fairy Tale Review, an annual literary journal dedicated to publishing new fairy tales and to helping raise public awareness of fairy tales as a diverse, innovative art form. Tiny Donkey is based out of the University of Arizona’s English Department, where it was created as a collaboration between founding editor and undergraduate Wren Awry, Fairy Tale Review founder Kate Bernheimer, and Fairy Tale Review Managing Editor Joel Hans.”
